Expressive Arts Therapy
Rupa provides Culturally Competent Counselling and Arts Psychotherapy for individuals and groups to cope with life adversities and manage mental health conditions.
Sometimes, on life's journey, many individuals experience adversities or find themselves experiencing mental ill health. We provide individual and group art therapy as an intervention strategy to help individuals navigate adversities and cope with mental ill health.
Art therapy is a therapeutic intervention that uses psychotherapeutic techniques and creative processes to facilitate healing and improve well-being. Visual arts practice helps people express emotions, feelings, and thoughts without relying solely on the power of words.
Our art therapy groups in Sydney are more than just a space. They are a safe and supportive environment where you can 'Safely Explore' your well-being through art. Here, you no longer have to 'Just Ignore' your struggles but can find solace and support in the creative process.
Art can create alternate languages and symbolic expressions with stories of belonging and connection.
Art therapy is a therapeutic technique that integrates psychotherapy and creative process to enhance physical, mental and emotional well-being. It is based on the idea that tapping into our creativity by engaging in self-expression can help us gain mental clarity, explore our emotions, develop self-awareness and promote our well-being. As the emphasis is on the creative process of self-expression, no special artistic ability or talent is required.
The intention of art-making in art therapy courses is playful experimentation with self-expression without having any concerns about achieving perfection.

Testimonials
"The Mindkshetra workshop allowed me to better understand myself as well as begin a journey of self discovery by creating a vision board. I was able to create a visual representation of myself and where I wanted to be in the future. Coming into the session I was nervous not knowing what to expect, never having experienced art therapy before. However, when I came into the workshop I immediately felt at ease by the created warm and safe environment. Rupa is kind, genuine and empathetic, and provided ongoing support throughout the session. Art therapy has been a beautiful way to express myself and I would highly recommend Mindkshetra."

"As soon as I arrived at the Mindkshetra studio I could feel a sense of relaxed yet uplifting vibe. It was my first time attending and meeting Rupa and I felt understood and validated without judgement as she is warm and can put herself in your shoes. Even more, being there was a joyful experience of being in the present moment while doing some art where there were no rules but just a reflection of what I wanted to do. I left the workshop feeling more at peace, knowing better who I am and feeling like I have found a safe space for exploring who I want to be through creative ways."
